CANIKEN® OSTIKEN™ Disarticulated Sets
Producer: Anatomy in Clay35% life-sized
Taken from the CANIKEN® Classic Model, these substructures engage students in detailed examination, identification, and analysis. Compare individual bones of the canine skeleton to each other or the other mammalian bones to gain a new understanding of commonalities and differences.
Our canine substructures are 35% of life size, while our equine substructures are 25% and human substructures 40%. This makes them all roughly equal in size. Students can be presented with bones from different species and challenged to identify origin by analyzing the structures. Most educators order both left and right structures, since comparing the two delivers a powerful lesson in symmetry. However, either side can be ordered separately.
